DIRECTIONS
INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 cup Original Almond Breeze
- 1 large banana, chopped
- 100g dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a muffin tin with cases
- In a large mixing bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, cacao and sugar together until well blended
- Add the apple sauce, vanilla, coconut oil and Original Almond Breeze. Stir until just combined
- Add the chocolate chips/cacao nibs and banana
- Spoon batter into the muffin cases until they’re 3/4 full
- Bake for 25 minutes
